Biography

John Pearce, known as buggsy to his friends, was born and raised in London's Camden Town. From the age of eight he showed a keen interest in music when he started playing the drums and percussion.
By the time he turned twelve he had started his musical career with his first job in the form of a Radio jingle, continuing with his drumming profession, i.e. recording and playing with several different bands until the age of eighteen, when he found he had a natural singing voice which opened up an entire new musical life. This led into the realms of backing vocals for different artists and made him the front man of numerous bands. This was a natural progression for him to go on and work with the likes of Manfred Mann's Mike Hugg and Mott the Hoople's lead vocalist Ian Hunter with whom he worked on many projects.
John's influences range from Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, Lee Scratch Perry,and Foreigner to The Prodigy and Eminem.
Currently John and his partner trade under the name Wicked Music Limited and are affiliated with Stevie Vann Lange Productions and APB Audio who together, work with many of the current chart toppers including Blue and The Sugababes, writing, recording and producing tracks to break unknown artists. |
